/faction emote
We already got a /fame emote for players with a lot of fame, why not have a /faction for players who have lots of faction accumulated? Just a thought.

No, because many people have varying Faction amounts, especially those that are UAX. Those that mainly unlocked through PvE will have low Faction caps. Faction says even less about a person than Fame.

No, but I wouldn't mind seeing an emote/rank that's linked to GvG wins instead.

Well... faction > rank, however putting all these emotes would just make more people pointlessly spam them and come up with new ways to block out newbies from joining their groups.

lol however there aren't many people without either rank or faction. This may even help those that have heaps of faction but no rank to get into teams easier.

And your point is ???????
My god man did you even read back what you wrote lol, I re-read it so many times and it still doesnt make any sence.
Faction even says less about a person than fame you must b jokeing right ?
I have over 500k faction but am only r3+ because I play warrior and thats realy all I play because thats what I like to play (it is a game after all isnt it and the point of a game is to have fun and have fun playing what you like)
I stopped hoh when it became IWAY heavy cause as a warrior thats all they want, I also playon my pve toon which I finished the game with.
So are you telling me my 500k+ faction is nothing compared to those r10+ IWAY RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOs ???????
/signed for fame emote linkedto faction and not hoh that way if you sre s good player from gvg, ta, ra, hoh more impresive than fame farmes using IWAY which is why every one of you may have noticed has killed the guild wars pvp population. The ditricts are empty or there is only one or two when there used to be over 10 in hoh and alteast always 3-4 in ta when now there is 1-2 and ra used to havae over 30-50 now maybe 4.

Yeah I figured you either have lots of fame or lots of faction. However you only get something to show for it if you have fame, those who just get faction miss out. And role players just role play so there's no point in them gaining some sort of special PvP badge anyway.

Since you get faction for winning in GvG, with a /faction that should keep all those GvG hardcores happy so long as they bump up the amount of faction you gain for winning. Also when you've unlocked everything, half of the PvP game becomes irrelevent. This will breathe fresh air into it.
Still, it's kind of sad seeing all these people doing arenas and becoming so good yet they have nothing to show for it while others who just run IWAY none-stop can get into teams much easier.

Truer words have not yet been spoken.
With this they should get rid of the 10k faction cap which is an even bigger abomanation than IWAY.

What he said.
It would work if you could earn faction towards your lifetime total even after hitting the cap, but you can't, as far as I know.
edit: It would still be pretty pointless, but it would, technically, work. Is what I meant.

You can "farm" TA all day and make well over 10k faction a day.
The reward for GvG is the ladder. Fame is just pointless ego-boosting. Arena isint worth anything tbh.

Although I would like to see a /faction, I can see the other side to it.
person 1- rank 6 tombs person, 300k faction
person 2- rank 1 GvG person 700k faction
now can someone tell me what that 700k faction has to do with knowing tombs?(please dont say all skills unlocked, that applies to all pvp)

That would say NOTHING about you, since you could be someone who never participated in any PvP activity in your guild. It would be even more pointless than a faction emote.
Cool emotes would be:
- the current rank emotes
- an emote for having won HoH
faction emotes.. well, faction is rediculously easy to farm...

faction doesnt count for anything. You dont have to win to get faction, you only get fame if you win. You only get enough fame for the very high ranks if you win many many games consecuitively often.
besides faction not meaning anything, its only purpose is to allow people who only want to play pvp to unlock skills and runes and upgrades without forcing them to PvE. That is the only purpose of faction, it is not a judge of player ability
and GvG people dont need a special emote, if your guild has a god enough rank to garner you respect people will probably know about yer guild before hand. i.e. your guild being in top 100 is something to show and it is shown on TV and you can look up a guild on ladder.guildwars.com or wahtever. If yer guild is ranked substantially higher than 100 you have nothing to show off.

you didnt get the point.
i got 216k faction from about 6 month.
since i unlocked a lot of skill with pve im reached the cap fast.
so im stuck at 216k if i didnt get the cap probably i will be at 500-600 or even more , got the point?
also the faction really dont mean nothing ...
if you say you have 400k faction what this mean?
you get 400k faction in ra?
you get 400k faction in hoh?
you get 400k faction in gvg?
how you can decide if this guy is good gvg/hoh player from this?

Well i can see both sides of the agruement. While something NEEDS to be done about the current rank system and IWAY, i dont no if a faction emote the way to go. I mean it would reward the faction farmers to much not the casual player. I mean i got my r3 and then quit the halls soon after cause hoh got too boring running into the same IWAY, Ranger spiker, 1 other random team. So i have gone to the RA playing against new builds. Which in Ra a good team can get hue amounts of faction very quickly. With lots of faction would that place me better than a gvg'er with less faction or hoh'er (well of course i am better than a rank 9 iway person so that matters not).
i dont think faction emote the way to go, but hey if it could solve the rank problem id /sign.

i agree with the /faction thing, ive only recently started doing HA but have lots of faction and experience from GvG and i refuse to play IWAY so thus i have low rank but im easily rank 3 or more skill level...
this would allow me to get into non-newbie/noob teams as atm, whenever theres a good team in my guild to go HA, that means we have a good team to GvG so we never go...
